My name is Jen and I live in London Ontario and have a few "ghost stories". Do you want first hand ghost stories, or would you take a few from other family members?  Ok here is my story.

My fiancé, my brother and I lived in a duplex on Stuart St in North East London.  A few months after we had moved in the man on the other side of the duplex moved out. A friend of mine was looking for a place to live, so her and her boyfriend (Di and Jay) moved into the other side.  It was great having friends so close.  We often talked about knocking out a wall, or cutting a door out in the basement to go back and forth to save us time.

After living next door to us for a few months they began asking us if we were hearing any odd noises during the night. We had heard a few, but thought nothing of it figuring that we just weren’t used to the normal settling noises of this particular house.

Weird things became more noticeable, such as Di and Jay's door opening by itself even though it was dead bolt locked and needed a key to get in or out. We didn't have each others house keys, and never found out how the door would opened on its own.

We have a beagle, DaVinci.  He is loud when anyone comes or goes, he also tried to escape any chance he got, so when we moved in we put a gate across the back porch with one of those slide locks to keep him in if we had the door open.  One night while we were doing some remodeling  in our basement, DaVinci went up to the kitchen to do his usual patrol of the house.  He started barking really loud, announcing that someone was there. My fiancé ran upstairs to see what the huff was all about.  DaVinci was standing in the middle of the kitchen snarling at the back door.  My fiancé saw that the back door was wide open and so was the gate.  No one was any where in sight but the way DaVinci was acting you would think someone was standing right at the door and he was doing a good job of keeping them out.  The thought of escaping in to the yard to play didn’t seem to appeal to him at all.

One night my fiancé was playing with my parents video camera making sure the battery was all charged up for his nieces confirmation the next day, so he was walking around the house taking random recordings.  He remembered he had he dryer on downstairs so went down, set the camera on a shelf, turned off the dryer, and brought the camera back upstairs.  He plugged in the tape and began watching it to make sure he had the lighting right.  On the video there were small lights flashing all over the basement, streaming right into the camera lens. It was very eerie, and I didn't sleep all night thinking about what those lights might be. The next day he recorded his nieces confirmation on the same tape.  That recording came out fine.

We got used to what we thought of as common ghost things would happen like things being moved, noises being made, electrical equipment turning on and off by its self.  We got used to the "ghost" being around and would talk to it while we were doing everyday things.  We lived there for three years when last May our landlord told us he was putting the place up for sale and we had two months to move.

Di  and Jay had cats that were always acting weird.  Bijou would go stare into the corner like she was waiting for someone to pet her.  Cleo would avoid walking across the kitchen floor.  She would come from the sun room jump onto the stairs, onto the shelf, down the rail and out into the dining room floor.  It was all very weird.  The night before Di and Jay moved out she had an awful dream about the ghost in the house.

In the dream the ghost took the form of an old lady.  She was gray, winkled and horrid looking.  The ghost came up to Di and spit in her face.  Without actually speaking aloud to Di it told her in a venomous voice that she hated cats and was glad that they were leaving her house.  Since Di and Jay have moved they have had no new or unusual experiences.

When we were busy packing and planning on what to take and what to get rid of when we moved I said to my fiance that i didn't want to hang up all my art work on the walls of the new hous.  My walls in this house will filled with my paintings (I'm an artist).  I said I wanted a "normal" house when we moved.  He said that my parents house and his parents whouses are both "normal" and they have my art work on their walls.  I came back with "Yes, but they don't have an alien on a crucifix on their walls."  This is a painting I had done when I was in highschool.  We both laughed, he agreed with me and that was the end of the conversation.  Not even 20 minutes later my brother T.J. was sitting in the living room across from the alien painting.  The painting had been hanging in the exact spot for the entire three years we had lived there and was held up by six nails surronding the edges.  All of a sudden the painting FLEW off the wall and smashed to the floor, just missing T.J. by an inch.  I don't know what exactly the ghost was trying to tell us.  We moved out of the house a few weeks later without any more problems.  Our new house is wonderful and nothing further has happened...yet!

Enjoy, Jenny

I think maybe your ghost has a sense of humor.  "Well if the only thing keeping you from having a "normal" house is the alien picture, I can take care of that!"  SMASH!

Jenny you are welcome to send any stories you like my way.  Thank for your story.
